Margarita Rumble returns to London

Chef James Cochran teams up with burger expert Lucky Chip for the Margarita Festival on July 22.

Margarita is the number one cocktail in the UK, at least when considering online searches, with the Mexican mix of tequila, orange liqueur and lime juice the main reason for a bottomless fiesta in London on July 22. ‘Margarita Rumble’ will return to the capital for its fourth edition, and at Two More Years, a bar & restaurant in a canalside warehouse space in Hackney, it will be a celebration of the best Margarita cocktails from London’s bars and restaurants.

Chef James Cochran (12:51, Upper Street), a Margarita fan himself, has teamed up with burger expert extraordinaire for this event. Guests can enjoy his ‘OG Fried Chicken Burger’ and ‘Around the Cluck’, as well as Lucky Chip cheese croquettes, baby back ribs and more.

At the festival, Tequila cocktails will be blended, shaken and stirred using Jose Cuervo tequila from bars across the city. This year’s event has ten tequila experts signed up to compete to be crowned, including That Sos Papos, Mezcal Itto, MXO London, The Street Easy, Jalisco Brixton, 12:51 by James Cochran, Beasy, The Black Horse, Nobody Asked Me, and the host’s venue, Two More Years with more to be announced.

DJs will provide entertainment, and there will be other surprises (ever heard of dancing skeletons?) to add to the atmosphere, whilst hosts Jose Cuervo will offer tequila masterclasses and cocktail workshops.

Tickets for Margarita Rumble are on sale now at £37.50; guests can choose one of three sessions of free-flowing margaritas.
