Schnitzel Week Kicks Off in Stockholm

Stockholm is about to go schnitzel-crazy: From 8–14 September, five of the city’s most beloved restaurants will launch the very first Schnitzel Week, a culinary celebration of the iconic dish in all its forms.

Stockholm is about to host a brand new food festival, celebrating an iconic favorite with the launch of Schnitzel Week. A week-long event organized by five local restaurants in collaboration with the Czech brewery Pilsner Urquell, diners can indulge in a variety of schnitzel variations, ranging from traditional veal Wiener schnitzel to contemporary vegetarian options.

The participating venues include Bar Central and Humlehof on Södermalm, Bistro DoMa on Östermalm, Sandhäxan in Vasastan, and the back-pocket Bränneriet at Två Små Svin in Årsta. Together, they will cook up everything from classic schnitzels to Japanese- and Mexican-style schnitzel sandwiches, filled schnitzels, and innovative vegetarian variants. If you love the Grandma-dish-turned-modern-icon, you're certainly in for a treat!
