Wine auction powered by Falstaff proves a great success

Sales of almost half a million euros were registered at the latest Dorotheum and Falstaff wine auction.

The 666 lot Dorotheum Easter Wine Auction powered by Falstaff was a brilliant success – almost all of the Austrian and international spirits on offer were bought by wine, whisky and port lovers. The turnover amounted to almost half a million euros.

The top seller was an absolute world rarity, according to the experts: the 1961 Château Latour 1er Grand Cru Classé, Pauillac in the 4.5-litre jeroboam, perfectly aged over the past 30 years, was bought by a wine lover for €26,840. Definitely 100 points, and not just from Falstaff!
