The best steak in the world comes from Buenos Aires.

The steak experts from World's 101 Best recently announced the best steak restaurants in the world. The World's 101 Best Steak Restaurants is a ranking that has been published annually since 2019 with the aim of selecting the 101 best steak restaurants in the world. A total of 850 steak restaurants worldwide were rated this year.

Parrilla Don Julio, Argentina

For the second year in a row, the Parrilla Don Julio in the heart of Buenos Aires' lively Palermo district. Under Pablo Rivero's management, the restaurant has made a name for itself not only for its immaculately grilled meat, but also for its impressive wine list, which is carefully matched to the flavors of the beef. The Meat Master Guido Tassi presents the finest grass-fed Angus and Hereford beef from the region, that comes from their own sustainable breeding programs. His deep understanding of meat maturation and butchery techniques contribute significantly to the restaurant's good reputation. The restaurant itself exudes rustic charm – with walls decorated with wine bottles signed by guests to add a personal touch. The service is impeccable, with a knowledgeable staff who embody genuine care and passion.

Bodega El Capricho, Spain

In second place is the Bodega El Capricho in Jiménez de Jamuz, Spain. The rustic restaurant is not only ranked second in the world, but is also one of the best steak restaurants in Europe. Under the motto farm to fork, owner José Gordon is committed to traditional Spanish cuisine. The menu includes everything from ox steaks to lesser-known dishes such as ox tongue or cellar-cured ox cencina. Gordon's expertise and that of his chef Diego Zarate ensure that every piece of meat served demonstrates both skill and respect for the animal. This year, José Gordon also received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his tireless efforts and commitment to the respectful and sustainable treatment of cattle and meat as a valuable product.

Margaret, Australia

Third place goes to Neil Perry's restaurant Margaret in Sydney. It is located in the upmarket Double Bay district of the Australian metropolis and, in addition to its ranking, also boasts the accolade of highest new entry and best steak restaurant in the Asia-Pacific region.

Beef & Glory, Austria

The best restaurant in the DACH region comes from Vienna: Beef & Glory made it to 30th place. First-class steaks are served here, which impress with the perfect combination of preparation and origin. Set in a cosy yet stylish ambience, the restaurant specializes in steaks, with a focus on prime dry-aged beef that is a treat for all meat lovers. The restaurant has made a name for itself with its high-quality meat products and the exquisite culinary experience it offers its guests.
