Aniseed and liquorice are the dominant aromas on the nose, with the citrus fruit only very gently hinted at. The ouzo character with ethereal aniseed and notes of fennel also initially dominate the palate. A noticeable sweetness forms the counterpoint, with some orange zest and citrus emerging on the finish and providing a fruity component.
