Falstaff Wine Guide Italy 2024

The Speri family owns 60 hectares of vineyards in the best locations in Valpolicella Classica, between 120 and 350 metres above sea level. The winery only vinifies grapes from its own vineyards and only cultivates indigenous Valpolicella grape varieties (Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara). This is its strength. To this day, the Speri winery, where three generations work, is the most important organic winery (certified since 2015) in Valpolicella Classica in terms of hectares and production. The Amarone Sant'Urbano enjoys cult status.
