Falstaff Wine Guide Germany 2024

The young family business Wein von Rothmund is housed in a half-timbered four-sided farmhouse in Eltmann in Lower Franconia. Father Matthias Rothmund looks after the five hectares of vineyards with the main grape varieties Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau and Domina, which are located in Augsfeld, Sand, Zell and Donnersdorf. Young winemaker Levin is responsible for the vinification of the wines, while mother Ines and the other children Kosima and Valentin also lend a hand. The emphatically dry wines, such as the spicy, mineral Silvaner, are characterised by the Keuper soil. A good debut in the guide!
