The vineyards around the chalky Kalmit are the biotope in which Katrin Wind has established her winery. The young woman started out with little, but used her good training and talent to gain respect wine by wine. The vineyard has now grown to eight hectares and Wind is a reference for us for solidly crafted wines that focus on the terroir. She is equally at home with whites and reds, although her Pinot Noir should perhaps be emphasised; there are not many who master this capricious variety so virtuously.
