Tasting Notes
Shining cherry red. Immensely terroir-spicy: peppery, damp asphalt, flint. In addition, sweet, "bright" cherry fruit. In the mouth, the wine is tightly built, sinewy, with a hint of bitterness in the mid-palate and also with green tones in the grainy tannin, which, however, act more as a source of tension in this extract-rich ensemble than as a nuisance. The finish is juicy, tactile-mineral and accompanied by fine, nuanced (cherry) fruit. The terroir tones still linger in the mouth a minute later. Great ageing potential. Unconventional, full of character.
