Smoky aroma, dried meat, cherry juice and wood. Smooth palate, slightly viscous, sandy, very dense tannins, strong alcohol, subtle acidity but sufficient to support the structure, a fairly broad, powerful wine with herbal-spicy aromas on the finish. Somewhat broad in structure, but with good aromatic persistence.
