The red wine 25 Anni Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG, vintage 2018 from the winery Arnaldo Caprai has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sagrantino from the region Umbria in Italy.
Dark ruby with a black core. Open hearted and inviting nose of chocolate powder, malt, vanilla, then lush blackberry as well as Amarena cherry, finishing delicately with buttered cookies and dried violet. The palate is rich and bright, showing dark and ripe fruit wrapped in rich and tightly woven tannin, builds in many layers, finishes very long.
