The sekt Südtiroler Sekt Riserva DOP Extra Brut, vintage 2018 from the winery Arunda has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Chardonnay, Südt. Blauburgunder from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Bright straw yellow with delicate light golden tones. Slightly stony notes on the nose, candied citrus fruit, salt, some fumé, hints of hazelnut and red berries on the finish. On the palate it shows with a certain juiciness and freshness, compact, pithy, but with a delicate bitter undertone, warm-hearted, remains sticky on the tongue.
