Deep, impenetrable ruby red with a violet core. An intense and inviting nose, with aromas of ripe blackberries, cassis, and dark plums, and a hint of tobacco in the background. On the palate, it displays concentrated, ripe fruit—plenty of blackberry—and opens with dense, fine-grained tannins; the finish is long and powerful. It still has great aging potential.
