The rosé wine Etna Rosato DOC, vintage 2020 from the winery Barone di Villagrande has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Nerello Mascalese, Carricante from the region Sicily in Italy.
Pale, radiant salmon colour with a silver shimmer. White and yellow flowers on the nose, lemon balm, fresh strawberry, lemon zest. Juicy on the palate, with a beautiful interplay between acidity and fruit, red berries, mineral-salty, draws into the finish with a firm aftertaste, very good drinking flow.
