Tasting from 08.09.2016: Ulrich Sautter, Peter Moser, Othmar Kiem

Vivid red with purple reflections. Initially discreetly reductive, but with air very quickly expressive, complex, deep, notes of blackberries, cranberry confit, black pepper, bay leaf, menthol, tobacco; on the palate soft attack, stolid, freshness, juicy acidity, pithy tannin, fruit sweetness; savoury and long. Great wine with certain ageing potential.
