Tasting Notes
Dark ruby with purple reflections, subtly brighter at the edge. Smoky, savoury nuances of red berries, a hint of liquorice and delicate cedar. Taut, balanced, elegant, with a finesse-rich structure and a mouth-watering finish, it has great length and builds more and more towards the back. With a salty-mineral finish, this is a multi-faceted Sangiovese that shows what the variety is capable of in the right hands. (cellar / +15).
More about the tastingBright garnet in colour. Opens with pronounced savoury notes, then very beautiful red berry fruit, lots of cherry and raspberry, with coriander seed and bay leaf in the background. Beautiful tannin coating on the palate, silky, polished and fine. Also compact with lots of juicy fruit: expansive.
