The red wine »S« Assmannshausen Pinot Noir, vintage 2021 from the winery Bischöfliches Weingut Rüdesheim GmbH has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Rheingau in Germany.
Intense slate savouriness, rock flour, raspberry and sour cherry, some leather. In the mouth, fine-grained, somewhat dry tannins create a noble astringency. The acidity appears integrated, the dense extract is dominant. The fruit cover is good and should accompany the maturing of the tannins for a decade.
