The red wine Nicasia Vineyard Malbec, vintage 2021 from the winery Bodega Catena Zapata has been rated in 2025 by Peter Moser with 95 Falstaff points.
Dark ruby, purple reflections, brightening at the rim. Fine oak savouriness, dark berry fruit, hints of plums and blueberries, a touch of cinnamon, sweet tobacco notes. Good complexity, ripe cherries, round, velvety tannins, fine acidity, mineral on the finish, shows length and certain ageing potential, still needs time.
