Tasting Notes
Powerful, glinting ruby with a slight garnet sheen. The nose is strongly marked by ripe, rich fruit notes of raspberry and ripe plum and underpinned by liquorice - very inviting. Hearty and dense on the palate, opening with plummy fruit then lots of dense, gripping tannin that generates firm drive on the finish. A touch warm. Additional ageing would reward the drinker here.
