The red wine Brunello di Montalcino, vintage 2012 from the winery Capanna has been rated in 2017 by Kiem, Othmar with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich, sparkling ruby with a fine garnet rim. Dense and intense nose, with rich notes of blackberries, dark cherries and fresh pomegranate. Fine-meshed, polished tannins on the palate, spreads out well, fine fruit, then becomes somewhat broad-meshed on the finish, not very persistent.
