The red wine Südtirol Chorus Madrigal DOC, vintage 2011 from the winery Castel Sallegg has been rated in 2015 by Othmar Kiem with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Brilliant, rich ruby with a slight garnet shimmer. Fruity, intense nose, full of blackcurrants and blackberries, underpinned by notes of tobacco and cloves. Salty and juicy on the palate, shows lots of present berry fruit, builds well, opens up with grippy and present tannins.
