The red wine Sassello Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, vintage 2015 from the winery Castello di Verrazzano has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese
Bright, rich ruby red. Restrained nose of mushroom and undergrowth, with light sealing wax. Likewise on the palate, not particularly clear, dark savoury and rich, shows a delicate mineral component, but remains drying on the finish. Unfortunately, it has not improved since the last tasting.
