The red wine Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Cava d'Onice has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dark ruby red. Very fruity nose, ripe cranberries and ripe plums, in the background also light Amarena cherry, carried by noble wood savouriness. On the palate very full and rich, spreads richly over the tongue, many layers, suffers in the aftertaste, however, from too much wood use and remains somewhat drying.
