The red wine Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Cava d'Onice has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
This has a fine bright ruby red colour. On the nose there are aromas of ripe wild berry, black cherry, leather, and some tobacco. On the palate there is a lot of texture, opening creamy and dense, building up in many layers, and it is hearty with powerful tannins on the finish.
