Medium golden yellow in colour, with silver reflections and a lively, persistent mousse. Delicate roasted aromas on the nose, with onion, candied kumquat peel, yellow pear and a hint of rhubarb. Taut and tightly knit on the palate with a core of white pomaceous fruit backed by a fine acidity. There's a hint of yellow apple and caramel on the finish, and a salty-lemony aftertaste. A full-bodied food companion with certain ageing potential. (Limit. 1500 bottles, PM).
