The red wine Château Ausone, vintage 2007 from the winery Château Ausone has been rated in 2008 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Franc, Merlot from the region St. Emilion in France.
Deep dark ruby garnet, almost opaque core, violet reflections. Pure fruit on the nose, dark berries, perhaps still a touch restrained, fine spices and aromas of precious wood. Precise and elegant on the palate, lingers for a very long time, incredibly balanced, perfect tannins, delicate chocolate, mineral, very polished, everything in the right place, ripe heart cherries on the finish, fine spicy aftertaste, shows real Premier Cru breed.
