Tasting Notes
Medium ruby, with orange hues on the rim. On the nose, fine dark berry confit, aromatic herbs, oak, nuances of orange zest. On the palate, powerful and very vivid tannins, with a pleasing fruit driven sweetness underneath, elegant persistence, mineral, with a subtle savouriness in the aftertaste, fine dark chocolate on the finish. A good example that the wait is usually worth it with Bordeaux, because the wine has developed very well with maturity.
More about the tastingMedium ruby garnet, orange rim. Very restrained nose, closed bouquet, with air something of dried plums, herbal spice, hints of precious wood. Powerful and very present tannins on the palate, underlaid with some dried fruit, little charm, anything but a generous wine, either not a perfect bottle or in a difficult phase.
