The red wine Saint-Chinian AOC Les Terroirs d’Altitudes, vintage 2016 from the winery Château de Ciffre has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 89+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Syrah, Grenache from the region Languedoc-Roussillon in France.
Elderberry, juniper, wild berry compote. Emphatically soft palate with a hint of sweetness in the fruit, medium density, well integrated acidity, mellow but not smooth tannin, a harmonious red with a savoury finish. Ideal for Cassoulet, or simply so to sit and chat.
