The sweet and dessert wine Château d'Yquem, vintage 1945 from the winery Château d'Yquem has been rated in 2018 by Peter Moser with 100 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc from the region Sauternes in France.
Strong amber with reddish hue,. Exotic honey nose, passion fruit, raisins and figs. On the palate caramel and dried figs, great aromatic depth, sublime, on the palate a characteristic SAVOURY botrytis fire, fine sweetness, silky finish, hours of the finest honey aromas in the empty glass. A dream wine, rightly ranks among the greatest sweet wines of all time.
