Tasting Notes
Deep dark ruby garnet, violet reflections, delicate edge brightening, attractive roasted notes, a hint of milk caramel under the dark berry fruit, a hint of cedar wood, exotic spices, very typical bouquet for Margaux. Concentrated, fine dark wild berry fruit, perfect tannins, has a refreshing acidity, cool style, good fruit and some nougat on the finish, will need a good ten years before it starts to open up, sure potential.
More about the tastingVery dark ruby, purple reflections. Ripe blackberry, a hint of licorice, fine oak notes, still somewhat reserved, tobacco nuance of Cuban cigars. On the palate incredibly clear and pure, very fresh, fine cassis touch, subtle fruit expression, some nougat, balanced, silky tannins, the concentration is completely hidden; that is the mystery of Margaux, no trace of overripeness. Highly elegant and precise, fascinating length, simply a great wine, built entirely (90%) on Cabernet Sauvignon.
