Tasting Notes
Strong carmine garnet, dark core, ochre rim brightening. Delicately leafy, tobacco-like nuances of black cherry, some dried fruit and damp wool in the background. The palate shows the sweetness of the year, some nougat, rustic tannins behind it, salty-spicy finish, a hint of iodine in the finale, delicate astringency, a wine that could never compete with the better representatives of its appellation in this vintage and now can no longer convince even in the magnum. (Magnum, drink soon).
