Sparkling, rich ruby with violet shimmer. Opens with notes of kitchen herbs, also some celery, blossoms beautifully, then shows rich notes of pickled cherries. Powerful, gripping tannins on the palate, lots of preserved cherries and plums, good pressure on the finish, appears a little rustic.
