The red wine Vigna di Pianrosso Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2021 from the winery Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona has been rated in 2026 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Montalcino in Italy.
Bright ruby with a pronounced garnet hue. Open and accessible nose, opens with notes of dark cherries, raspberries and some plums, with spicy cedar wood in the background. Full-bodied and intense on the palate, shows plenty of robust tannins, still brittle and slightly warming on the finish, still needs a long ageing period.
