The red wine Santa Caterina d'Oro Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG, vintage 2015 from the winery Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Clear, medium dense garnet red. Opens with notes of pickled cherries and black nuts, fine plum. Builds up firm drive on the palate, grippy, hearty tannin, plus lots of sweet texture, then seems a little rough and slightly alcoholic on the finish.
