The red wine Don Melchor, vintage 2021 from the winery Concha y Toro has been rated in 2024 by Dominik Vombach with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Maipo Valley in Chile.
Complex bouquet, primarily characterised by notes of dried dark and red forest berries. There are also notes of olive, nougat, some dried tomato and hints of cedar wood as well as floral nuances. Elegant, flattering and balanced on the palate, with perfectly integrated tannins and a salty, mineral impression that extends onto the long finish, which is characterised by notes of propolis.
