The red wine Barolo Sorì Ginestra DOCG, vintage 2012 from the winery Conterno Fantino has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Brilliant, intense ruby. Opens on the nose with notes of rose petals, plus lots of plum, then in the background leather and truffle, all very subtle. On the palate vivid and substantial, shows rich, ripe fruit, savoury, then unfolds with vivid, dense tannin, very well integrated, very long finish, juicy.
