The red wine Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG, vintage 2017 from the winery Dolcevera has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella , Oseleta, Negrara, Molinara
Dark ruby with subtle purple highlights. Very ripe nose of dried fruit, walnut, dark chocolate and molasses. On the palate it shows with lots of substance, oak and tannin, plus candied fruit and nutty tones, unfortunately a bit bitter on the finish.
