The red wine Cornas »Renaissance«, vintage 2019 from the winery Domaine Auguste Clape has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter, Peter Moser, Dominik Vombach, Anne Krebiehl with 95+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Bourgogne Grand Ordinaire in France.
Chocolate and pickled cherry on the nose, wax, sage, mint, the aroma is equally indicative of highly ripe grapes and yet appears fresh. On the palate, the wine is very dense with fine-grained tannins, the acidity is flawlessly integrated, the extract tension is resolved by an intense, juicy fruit that lingers for a long time. The dense, balanced and compact structure promises two decades of certain ageing potential.
