The red wine Domaine de la Pousse d´Or Grand Cru Clos de la Roche, vintage 2018 from the winery Domaine de la Pousse d’Or has been rated in 2021 by Anne Krebiehl MW with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Bourgogne in France.
Just a hint of flinty reduction hovers on the nose. This is followed by a concentrated red cherry ripeness, underscored by both clove and peony. The palate is linear, taut, and seems to spring from a cool, cool core that was not in the least stirred by 2018’s heat. Wonderful tension. There is real muscle, real drive, but for now this energy os still caught in firm yet ripe tannins. Superior and delicious. A.K.
