Tasting Notes
A touch reductive initially, but this clears quickly. On the nose there are aromas of pear, orange blossom, peat and jasmine. More and more chalkiness with air. In the mouth it is powerful and grippy, with a fine, distinctive bitterness and unbelievable finesse in the phenolics. There is little in the way of fruit on the palate: it is currently a completely introverted wine with great inner richness, where the acidity is completely integrated with the body, at no point becoming perceptible in isolation. Noble and full of finesse, on the aftertaste there is a continuing fine thread of texture and minerality. Fresh.
