The white wine Pouilly-Fuissé La Chaneau, vintage 2019 from the winery Domaine Leflaive has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 94+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Bourgogne in France.
A vineyard site on red clay, just outside the newly defined Premier Cru range due to its altitude. Very mineral on the nose, red apple, hazelnut, iron and rust. Dense and pithy on the palate with immense tension, long, intense and pithy. Still completely closed, but with profound richness and suggesting great longevity.
