The white wine Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Pucelles, vintage 2019 from the winery Domaine Leflaive has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Bourgogne in France.
On the nose this shows aniseed buns, balsamic, savoury tones, and already triggers an inkling of great complexity despite the overall closed fragrance. On the palate there is a a layering of viscous extract and juiciness, oily in the background, lively acidity, a density without effort, completely unforced, remaining homogeneous on the finish for a very long time.
