Tasting Notes
Rich ruby red in colour. A deep, complex bouquet - slightly yeasty, with notes of black cherry and liquorice. Signs of clearly new wood (smoky bacon) emerge. The palate is concentrated, with still-rugged tannin, and well-balanced acidity. Plenty of texture and a long, chalky finish. A modern, lively wine with certain ageing potential.
