Dark, sinister ruby with minimal brightening rim. Strongly toasted nose, flint, toasted hazelnut, then black cherry and chocolate powder. Rosemary and oak on the palate at first, deep dark berry fruit, molasses, with grippy tannin, massive, with a lot of substance and mass.
