Bright, intense ruby red with a slightly brightening rim. Very fine nose, smells of ripe wild berries and cassis, delicate savouriness in the aftertaste, then tobacco and leather from the wood maturation. Sweet and fruity on the palate, the tannins still seem a little young, long finish.
