The red wine Barolo Ceretta Vigna Bricco DOCG, vintage 2011 from the winery Elio Altare has been rated in 2014 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Barolo in Italy.
Initial truffly notes, but also thyme and wormwood. Plump and soft on the palate, then tightly gripping with powerful, ripe, almost resinous tannins whose effect lasts a long time. Subtle body and extracted sweetness, round and graceful on the finish with viscous layers and warm fruit flavours. Elegant despite all the substance, and therefore accessible.
