The red wine Barolo DOCG, vintage 2018 from the winery Elio Altare has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Barolo in Italy.
Bright, radiant ruby red with a bright core. Fine, fragrant hints of fresh raspberry and fresh cherry on the nose, with a hint of butter cookie, mint, leather and some eucalyptus in the background, inviting. Extremely refined and accessible on the palate, shows great smoothness, clear fruit with lots of raspberry, embedded in tightly woven, juicy tannins, lots of drinking fun!
