The white wine »Hautnah« Traminer trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Espenhof – Nico Espenschied has been rated in 2019 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Gewürztraminer from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Notes of wild rose, apricot and mint on the nose. On the palate fine fruit and cool, tart notes emerge - there's nothing baroque on the palate, but instead rather fine phenolics and a grippy acidity structure come to the fore, with some lemon tea and a hint of chicory, rose and citrus zest. Aromas meet structure.
