The red wine Esse, vintage 2013 from the winery Fattoria La Torre has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Aglianico from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dark, impenetrable ruby. Appealing nose with notes of ripe elderberries and blueberries, underpinned by spicy notes, some oregano, also pine needles, exciting. Very polished on the palate, lots of fine berry fruit, opens up with fine-meshed tannins, floats calmly, long finish.
