The red wine Gagliole Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2016 from the winery Gagliole has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright ruby. Very distinct and pronounced bouquet with notes of balsa wood as well as damsons. A wonderful onset, then unfolds with multi-layers of finely grained tannins, dark berries nuances, concluded with a spicy, tense finish.
